Rebecca's Family Needs a Home-Saving Hand

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am reaching out to anyone that may see this for help. This is really difficult to do, pleading for help, but when you have little family left, where do you go for help?

After being laid off from my job 2 years ago, I found a job for a short time here and there and drove ride-share trying to keep things paid as best I could, until today when I was involved in a car accident, which took my only source of income away. The most recent job I had I lost in January of this year, and that is when things started falling behind.

My mortgage is 2 payments behind and if I am unable to make one of them by April 30th, my home will be reviewed for foreclosure. I had a daily goal planned out to make the balance of what I needed over the next few days, but that was all taken away when the car was wrecked. I am also behind on my HOA dues.

I feel a lot of shame putting all of this out here for everyone to see, and I hope no one judges me. I keep trying to pray and remind myself that God doesn’t give us more than we can handle, but I truly feel like I’m going under.

My daughter (who lives with me) had my first grandchild 5 months ago, and while I am over the moon in love with him, I am also very stressed about the additional life I am responsible for if I lose my home. I’ve been a single mom my whole life, so struggling is nothing new, but we will all literally be homeless if I lose my home, and I must do all I can to stop that from happening. I am willing to put my pride aside and ask for any help anyone is able to provide. If there is anyone able to assist me in my time of need, I promise to pay it forward when I’m able to do so.
