This year, I am transitioning into a public school, which both better aligns with my life priorities and values on education. I am humbled and honored to be teaching in the district as a first grade teacher. Throughout my professional career, I have learned so much from the students, families and neighborhoods I have served. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to teach and be taught by a new community of scholars.
In a few short weeks, I will be setting up my classroom. As a teacher new to first grade, and new to the district, I will need a little financial help to jump-start a new classroom. The students need me to provide everything from books, to paper, to pencils, and more! Almost 100% of my students will be coming from a neighborhood that while rich in culture and life, is lacking in resources. Therefore, we need YOUR help!
Any dollar amount helps. Any passing along to professional & personal contacts is greatly appreciated. If you happen to be a teacher/ know a teacher and have extra supplies, I'll be happy to take those off your hands too!
