Rebecca Mathew's medical fund
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Mary, and Rebecca is my sister. As most of you know, she was diagnosed with stage 4a metastatic ovarian cancer and has since been undergoing treatment in Memphis. After each session of chemotherapy, Rebecca's condition has deteriorated to the point of hospitalization due to an acute hypersensitivity to chemotherapy. Unfortunately, her body has been weakened, and she must regain strength before she can have her life-saving surgery.
After a disappointing report from her primary oncologist, Rebecca was able to get an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, to hopefully find new and better treatment options. After her initial visit on April 21, she was accepted as a patient.
MD Anderson is a leading cancer center with one of the most active ovarian cancer programs in the nation, so we are excited that she will be receiving groundbreaking care. Her doctor says her disease is treatable and wants her to obtain as much care as possible in Houston under his direct supervision.
This travel will lead to many expenses in flights, lodging, meals, and ground transportation for her to access the hospital. Each trip will run between $2,000 and $2,500, not including any medical expenses incurred. With Rebecca on short-term disability, I want to make sure that she and John can focus on her health and well-being without worrying about funds.
Any amount that you can contribute will be so helpful. If you can't donate, you can help by sharing this campaign and praying that Rebecca receives healing and comfort. Rebecca and John are both believers (John is an elder at B'rit Hadasha in Memphis) and know that G-d knows our days and are trusting in Him and resting in the knowledge that He will lead her journey.
