Everyone in Ellsworth knows Becky, by name or reputation. She has raised five wonderful children, and has had a huge impact on the lives of many families in the Downeast Area, whether during her time at Kidspeace or as an Elementary School Special Education Instructor.

Rebecca has had a major medical event occur: a brain aneurysm. She has been given a Life-Flight to a hospital in Boston, MA, and is undergoing invasive surgery to try to correct the issue. We are still receiving updates as to her condition.

Becky's family means everything to her, so we are trying to plan how to get the whole family to Boston to be by her side. We also know that the medical bills from such an emergency are going to be a hurdle for us to overcome.

Recovery periods from brain aneurysms of the sort she suffered are long term, and some of the neurological after-effects may be permanent. Becky was the sole source of income for her family, and she is still raising two high-school age girls as well as her precious horses. 

The traditional recovery from these types of events is often six months to a year. We're going to need all the help we can get, and anything given to this fund will be put directly towards one of two things.

2) Family transportation to Boston
