In Loving Memory of Rebecca French
I am writing this as a friend of Rebecca French, to honour her life and to support her two daughters she adored so deeply.
Rebecca was a truly lovely woman who lit up every room she walked into— kind, strong, funny and full of love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, who were the absolute centre of her world. Their bond was incredibly close, built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Rebecca was also a proud grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and spoke about with such joy.
Tragically, Rebecca was involved in a horrific car accident on Sunday 7th December which tragically took her life, leaving her family heartbroken and facing the unimaginable loss of a much-loved mum, nanny, daughter, sister, and friend. Alongside their grief, her daughters are now facing the unexpected and overwhelming costs of laying their mum to rest.
Rebecca’s daughters have shared these words about their best friend, their mum:
“Our mum was the strongest person we know. She was kind, caring, and always put everyone else before herself. No matter what she was going through, she always found a way to make us laugh and feel safe. She was our best friend, our biggest supporter, and the heart of our family. Life will never be the same without her.”
“It doesn’t feel real that I am having to write this. My beautiful mum sadly passed away on Sunday 7th December in a car crash. My mum was my best friend and my comfort, who I loved so much and who I feel lost without. I am so incredibly thankful for all the time we shared together and the memories we created, which I will always look back on and smile at. My mum was the strongest woman I will ever know, and the most loving, caring, and funny mum. Thank you for everything, Mum. I will never forget you.” ❤️
This GoFundMe has been set up to help ease some of the financial burden, so her daughters can focus on grieving, healing, and remembering their mum — rather than worrying about funeral expenses. Rebecca deserves a funeral that reflects the love, warmth, and strength she gave throughout her life.
Rebecca battled MS with incredible courage and never let it define her, continuing to live life to the fullest and showing everyone around her what true resilience looks like. She was deeply loved, and her loss is felt by so many.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to her daughters and will go directly towards giving Rebecca the farewell she truly deserves. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page.
Thank you for helping us honour a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.
