Hi. My name is Rebecca Buczek-Mork. I am a High School Junior and I've been selected as a youth delegate representing Illinois at the Washington Youth Summit on the Environment. Only 300 students are selected nationwide to attend based on scholarship and commitment to this field of study. It is a once-in-a-lifetime trip held the last week of June at George Mason University near Washington D.C. I am trying to raise funds for my tuition and travel expenses. I would have the opportunity to meet with environmental and conservation specialists, scientists, distinguished scholars, and policymakers. This program is sponsored by The Smithsonian Institute and National Geographic with opportunities for behind-the-scenes instruction and exploration.
