Rebeca's Cancer Treatment during Pregnancy

Hello to friends, family and anyone that may come across this page!

My name is Vicki and I have created this page as a way to help my dearest friend, Rebeca in her newly-diagnosed battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma on October 12, 2023. Right before this diagnosis, Rebeca and Scott found out that they will be blessed with a tiny human (Yay!) in April 2024.

Although this news was amazing for Rebeca, it was cut short with this cancer diagnosis on the last day of her first trimester.

Luckily, her team of oncologists and high risk obstetric team have put together a course of treatment that is safe for Rebeca (& baby) to undergo whilst pregnant. Although this chemotherapy is safe, it is both aggressive and expensive. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover much of this treatment and with a new baby coming it adds a level of weight that should not have to be carried by anyone, but especially not Rebeca.

For those of you who don't know , this is not the first time Rebeca has had to fight against all odds. On October 15, 2015 Rebeca almost lost her life in a car accident which included numerous surgeries, medical bills, sacrifices and new diagnoses that were and continue to be a challenge for her. Still, she continues to remain positive and acts out of humility, love and kindness for all those around her- even strangers.
