Rebeca Rambal's Recovery and Rehabilitation

Rebeca Rambal, our translator extraordinaire, relentless dreamer, believer in magic, photographer, artist and paddleboarder, needs our help. A couple of weeks ago she fell in shallow water and fractured her knee - a very bad break. She had emergency surgery so she could someday walk again, but meanwhile she is in a lot of pain and house-bound for months to come. She will have huge medical expenses, needs assistance around the house, and will have on-going physical therapy for quite some time. Rebeca is grateful to the people who helped her the day of the accident and in the immediate aftermath, but help will be needed on an ongoing basis for a few months. "I am so grateful for all the people that have come out of the woodwork to help me out. It’s been a very overwhelming and scary couple of weeks. Now with the surgery behind me, it’s a lengthy road to recovery and I need to rely on my community to keep me afloat. It was not easy for me to be open to receiving help… I cannot wait to get better to pay forward all the goodness and kindness I have received thus far. I am having good and bad days. The shock lasted a while, and so far, I have managed to keep my sense of humor. But at times, it starts dawning on me the kind of financial burden and life change this will be. I am a believer in magic and the goodness in people… thank you ♥”
