This Independence Day, let’s give freedom a new meaning.
Not the kind we salute in parades, but the kind a child feels when she climbs a ramp instead of watching from the bottom of the stairs.
At a small special school in Palamaner, 50 children with disabilities come every day, full of dreams. But their environment isn’t built for them--steps they can’t climb, toilets they can’t use, classrooms that exclude them. This isn’t just an oversight. It’s a quiet injustice. And we’re changing it.
We’ve begun transforming the school with ramps, handrails, and accessible toilets. We’ve built a sensory park with wheelchair swings and calm spaces to play. A skill lab is coming up, where children will learn to bake, create, and earn.
But so many still wait:Only 10 children currently receive physiotherapy. Another 100 at least need it urgently but go without, enduring daily pain and stiffness.
At least 50 children rely entirely on gestures to communicate. There’s no speech therapist available for them.
At least 50 children have been identified with hearing loss. Their families cannot afford the hearing aids they need to hear and learn.
With your help, we can build a school—and a future—that sees every child, supports every child, includes every child. This Independence Day, let’s gift freedom with dignity. Donate now to help build a world where no child is left behind.
