Hi everyone! This upcoming May, I will be traveling to the Dominican Republic with a group of pre-medicine and pre-nursing students for a 8 day healthcare educational volunteer opportunity. As a group of pre-medicine individuals, we will serve the community by supporting local hospitals and clinics in Rancho Arriba, go on house calls to elderly residents who cannot make it to the clinic for checkups, visit students at the local elementary school for checkups, as well as contribute to a service project promoting nutrition and sustainable development for the people of the community.
