Reagan Burroughs Fight

Thank you for your concern for Reagan. We wanted to start this page so we could keep everyone that cares for Reagan updated on what is going on. Around a month ago Reagan became ill. When they took a scan of her head April 15th they found a brain tumor. She was immediately admitted to the hospital. She underwent a 7 hour surgery on April 20th to remove as much of the tumor as they were able. To everyone's surprise and complete joy they removed ALL of the tumor!! As the doctors warned she will need some physical therapy to recover from the surgery because she has lost some of her motor skills. Today we found out what kind of tumor she had. She has childhood Ependymoma. This is a form of cancer. She will be undergoing 5 or 6 weeks of radiation 5 times a week. PLEASE DO NOT speak to her sisters about her illness (other than to maybe give support) they have not heard the words cancer or radiation at this time and her parents are trying to find the right words and ways to explain to them. Currently Reagan does not have any medical coverage and the costs of her treatment are already so high. We would love to be able to help her family.
