Ready, Teddy… Go! Our 10K run to raise funds for Teddy.

Hi, my name is Lucy and I’m fundraising for life changing surgery for my beautiful cat Teddy who is just 1.5 years old.

One month ago, Teddy was diagnosed with femoral necrosis of the left hip which meant major surgery to remove the ball and neck of his left hip joint. Teddy spent three weeks in a crate with some movement breaks and made a very good recovery but sadly on the very day we collapsed the crate and celebrated his recovery he appeared to be in pain.

Long story short: Teddy now needs this procedure on his right side which unfortunately is not covered by our insurance. I am running the Worthing 10k on 8th June 2025 (when I have barely run 10 metres!) with my nephew Arthur to hope to raise funds to put towards this surgery for Teddy.

If we are lucky enough to hit our target then Arthur’s charity of choice is Great Ormond Street Hospital who saved his life with neurosurgery in 2019.
