REady, StEady, Go! Fund Eady's Specialist Wheelchair

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Flo and I'm fundraising on behalf of my friend Charly and her incredible family to help provide their daughter Eady with a life-changing specialist wheelchair. Eady has complex medical needs and the right equipment will make a huge difference to her comfort and mobility.

If you know Eady, you'll know she loves the outdoors! The family live rurally and their trips into nature have a huge therapeutic benefit. Eady currently uses a fantastic self funded off-road wheelchair which was recommended by her OT.

But right now, Eady and her family are facing a painful hurdle.

The Challenge
Over the last few years Eady has developed worsening scoliosis and needs 24/7 postural support.

The Problem
Although her wheelchair is fantastic, it is very basic. She is not getting physical support her body needs and her spine is not adequately supported. Because of this, the family is not able to use it as much as they would like to.

The Reality
Eady is considered too high-risk to be a candidate for spinal surgery, which means her only option is to use specialist equipment to manage her condition and keep her as comfortable as possible. Right now, Eady and her family are forced to limit her outdoor time to protect her from pain.

Eady and her family deserve to enjoy the world without suffering for it.

The Solution
A specialist moulded seat from Specialised Orthotic Services (SOS) would provide Eady with the postural support she needs. (A breakdown of the quote can be read at the bottom of this post.)

HOW YOU CAN HELP
  • Donate - no amount is too small and every £ will directly fund Eady's comfort and mobility. If we exceed the goal, any extra funding will go towards Eady's wellbeing.
  • Share - post this GoFundMe to your social media, to your friends, family and community networks
  • Connect - if you know of resources or sponsors who might help, please get in touch with either myself via GoFundMe or Charly directly.

Thank you for supporting Eady and her family - let's get Eady back into the great outdoors!
