Running for Jamie Lucas

From our very first days in primary school to growing up side by side into adulthood, Jamie Lucas was more than just my best friend—he was my brother in all but name.

His laughter, kindness, and strength shaped so many of my happiest memories, and losing him to cancer has left a hole that can never truly be filled.

During his illness, this charity cared for Jamie with compassion and dignity, giving him comfort when he needed it most. I’m Running the Reading Half Marathon to honour Jamie’s life and the bond we shared.

Every mile I run is for him, and every donation I raise will help this charity continue to provide the same love and support to others facing the hardest battles in Jamie’s memory!
