Read Easy Tower Hamlets, we are an affiliate of Read Easy UK, meaning we are an independent group but have an affiliation agreement with Read Easy UK and abide by their policies. We provide confidential one-to-one coaching for adults to help them develop their literacy skills.

Tower Hamlets is one of the top five areas in the UK in need of Read Easy, with an estimate in 2011 of there being 18,000 adults in Tower Hamlets that have low literacy skills. This can lead to various difficulties, including challenges with filling in forms, understanding important communications or accessing essential information on topics like food allergens and health care. Simply being able to read a story to children or grandchildren can also be impossible for adults with low literacy skills, and can be a really meaningful impact of Read Easy.
