Reaching out with love to help Joe's recovery

This GoFundMe is being setup for Teresa Eckert & Joe Robinson (my mother & step dad). As many of you know, Joe was admitted into the ICU of Kadlec Hospital on January 13th after experiencing cardiac issues due to water retention around his heart. On February 20th Joe was finally released to go home to begin a slow process of healing with the loving care of Teresa. Although they were relieved that he was home, it was a very difficult few weeks as Joe was extremely weak and struggling at times to breath. In the early hours of February 3rd Joe had a stroke and had to be airlifted to Sacred Heart in Spokane. While there, Joe had to have surgery to disintegrate a blood clot in his brain. He was released from Sacred Heart Hospital on February 8th and transitioned to St. Luke’s Rehabilitation. While at St. Lukes he spent his time attending speech and physical therapy to regain some of the skills he lost due to his stroke. He was released from St. Luke’s on February 16th.

Joe is now back home and beginning the slow and arduous recovery process. Teresa is taking time off work to assist Joe by being his full-time caregiver. With the loss of her wages, along with their many medical expenses, we are reaching out to all their friends and family to seek any donations that will help them to cover these extra expenses. This will also allow Teresa the time to fully dedicate herself to Joe’s recovery.
