Reaching for dreams in Georgia
Hello everybody,
My name is David and I am an U.S. Army Infantry Veteran and my beautiful wife’s name is Sarah; she is a former Registered Dental Assistant and now full-time stay at home mother to our beautiful children David and Charlotte.
We currently reside in California where the cost of living continues to rise at a pace that is, oftentimes, difficult to keep up with. We share a vision for one day opening a Veterans Retreat for veterans diagnosed with PTSD: A place where the veteran can be in a calm environment and find support for their recovery and a path to finding a means to express what they may be going through. This is proving to be a difficult task in California and we are hoping to move to Georgia where the cost of living has not changed too much in the past decade.
The money you graciously donate would go towards moving expenses to ensure we are able to make the trip to what we perceive will be the best location to pursue our goal of giving back to the veteran community.
As a veteran who has also been diagnosed with PTSD, I understand that there is a shortage of properly prepared programs to stay with veterans through the process. My ultimate goal is to be able to provide that support through offering a place of peace and self-discovery. This is something that was lacking in my initial battle with PTSD and I have been blessed to find key individuals in my life path that have helped in each of these aspects as their own separate entities. These people have been immeasurably valuable to my self-discovery and the acquired knowledge of how to function better on a day-to-day basis. It would be selfish of me to keep this to myself, and believe it to be have the best chance of success in Georgia.
The gratitude that we would share towards your help would be eternal and we would only be able to return our gratitude by pushing forward and succeeding with our ultimate goal of helping the veteran community.
God bless you,
Dave, Sarah, David, and Charlotte
