Help a Family Avoid Homelessness

Hello, my family and I are close to being evicted to homeless and our savings together don’t make enough for rent. We will be evicted and be homeless for weeks, possibly longer. Both of us have jobs (both currently looking for a second).

Since I started the job, I am paid $13 an hour and they have cut my hours, so I don’t have enough since I also work 6 hours a week. I would have to save from previous paychecks to have enough money for rent.

Backstory

We are currently renting a place and a few months ago the landlord raised the rent $900 more. This is our second time in the issue of this new rent increase. The total rent is $1,900. But since we have not paid, on top of that there is a $15 late fee until the 4th day of not paying, then there is a $25 fee, and it gets higher and higher, an endless loop of not being able to pay.

The second month of us not paying is coming up and it’s really difficult since we still don’t have enough to cover this upcoming month and last month's rent on top of all the late fees. These donations go towards paying storage for our things, food, and a temporary place to stay while we look for a permanent place.

We do not have family who would help it is just my personal family.

Every donation is appreciated. Even with the donations, my family and I are still going to save up and look for second jobs.
