My uncle, Pastor Fernando Manalaysay, needs our help. Here’s a message directly from him:
“The goal of my letter is to convey to you my wish to seek medical/financial assistance, particularly with my immunotherapy procedure.
In March 2024, I was diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer at St. Luke's Medical Hospital. I underwent numerous procedures at St. Luke's Hospital to ensure that their diagnosis was right. Some of them involved ultrasound, MRI, and biopsy. But, just to be sure, I sought a second opinion, so we visited Cardinal Santos Medical Hospital. In addition, I endured numerous procedures, including an MRI, a colonoscopy, an endoscopy, a PET CT scan (2X), and prostate surgery and biopsy again.
Following that, I underwent nine chemotherapy sessions and MRI. However, no beneficial results were obtained, so the chemotherapy was repeated with other medications and another MRI after two sessions, but the tumor did not decrease after four sessions verified through MRI, so it was discontinued because my body could no longer tolerate the chemotherapy.
We have also spent a significant amount of money on treatment due to the numerous procedures. And we're not sure how to pay for immunotherapy because it's more expensive.
I am the pastor of Citaf Church, a small church in Central Bicutan, Taguig City.
This is the first time we've requested assistance. I hope you will consider my request for financial aid so that the immunotherapy can start and continue for the next two years.
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you.”
Sincerely,
Fernando B. Manalaysay
