Jessica's IVF treatment

Hi, my name is Ashley and I am Jessica's younger sister. Jessica was diagnosed with breast cancer this past September at the young age of 25. There is a less than 0.01% chance to be diagnosed this young. While Jessica has already passed surgery and is moving towards being cancer free, her doctors have now progressed to the treatments of chemotherapy and radiation to significantly reduce the chances of cancer returning later on in life. With this comes the chance that she may lose successful function of her ovaries post chemo. Thus, she is holding off on chemo in order to start IVF egg preservation treatment prior to starting chemo so that when the time comes somewhere in the future, she is able to have her own biological children.

Unfortunately, her insurance will not cover any fertility treatment of any sort, even fertility treatment needed due to side effects from her cancer treatments. The treatment she is going through in order to have viable eggs in the future could be over $10,000 out of pocket. As we all know, medical bills are costly, but medical bills not covered by insurance can be even more cumbersome.

Our mom and I decided that while Jessica is taking all of this process with great stride and incredible strength, it would be amazing if the communities we know and love would be able to help her, even though she will always claim she doesn't need it. While we do not expect to raise a full $10k, any amount can help reduce the burden.

All funds donated are being deposited into a separate savings account specifically designated towards Jessica's medical costs.
