After a couple of scans on my knee, I’m devastated to find out I’ve re-ruptured my ACL.

This is an injury that has already taken over a year out of my career, to find out I have done it again has been an extremely hard pill to swallow.

I have been quoted another surgery and the price is in excess of £11,000. There is no way I am expecting to get anywhere near that amount, but even a small contribution would make a massive difference.

There are multiple reasons that I am going privately to get this procedure done, firstly this is the 2nd time I have ruptured my ACL and the surgery is more complicated than the first time round. Secondly, the NHS waiting list is constantly increasing and I am trying to salvage as much of my short career as possible.

I am asking for help in an incredibly tough period for myself, as the post surgery recovery time means I will be out of work for roughly 3 months. This combined with the fee of the procedure is going to be a massive hit, but I want to get back playing and enjoying the game and this gives me the best chance at that.

Every penny will be going towards the surgery and rehab, helping me to get back on the pitch as quickly as possible.
