Help a young widow with a child.

Story

Dear friends, I turn to you with a request for help for my close friend Katya and her family. A few months ago, I shared their difficult situation, and unfortunately, circumstances have worsened. Katya and her husband Vadim moved to the USA from Uk three years ago, escaping the war and hoping for a better life. Along with them came their young son, Vadim’s elderly mother, and pregnant Katya. Vadim was the primary breadwinner, working hard like many of us. In January this year, Vadim suffered a stroke and fell into a coma. Doctors fought for his life for months, but sadly, on April 6, Vadim passed away. Katya was left alone with a child, her husband’s elderly mother, and late in her pregnancy. A few hours after Vadim’s death, Katya was hospitalized with bleeding related to pregnancy complications. She is currently in the hospital, her condition is stable, but she needs care and support. The family is facing financial hardships: • Rent payment • Grocery shopping • Utility bills • Medical expenses Insurance does not cover all expenses, and the family cannot cover these costs on their own. We aim to raise $15,000 to cover: • Medical expenses • Daily family needs • Cremation of Vadim’s body and return to Ukraine. Katya dreams of burying her husband there, at home.
