Christina's brave fight against Breast Cancer

In the whirlwind of the past 12 months, the Grigollas have purchased their first home, welcomed their rainbow baby, Elijah Leo, and learned that Christina had developed an aggressive form of breast cancer after noticing a lump in her breast. Christina was eight months pregnant when the Ductal Carcinoma diagnosis met her ears and broke the hearts of all who know and love Christina.

After countless rounds of tests, biopsies, and doctors, Christina started an intensive form of chemotherapy just one month after giving birth to Elijah. As she moves past the half-way point of thirteen chemo rounds (not including radiation), she has yet to skip a beat. Christina continues to nurture her baby boy through sleepless nights and countless diapers, supports her oldest son Eric through school dropoffs, pickups, homework and extracurricular activities. She remains the rock for her family.

While being on maternity leave from her career as a high school counselor, there is a significant and increasing financial obligation to allow Christina to receive the care that she needs. Contributions will allow Jon to take days off work to take Christina to her appointments, commuting from Fontana to Pasadena While this may help relieve some of what this journey includes, this is only a small part - it is the support and prayers that will pull her through. There have been many that have supported her on this journey with gifts, meals and most importantly prayers. We ask for continued prayers and we are eternally thankful for every single one of them!
