Hi, I'm Christina!

After my most recent colonoscopy my doctor informed me that the polyps they found had turned and I now have colon cancer and I would need to have surgery to remove everything below my small intestine before it gets worse and has a chance to spread and cause more damage. So on September 14th I go in for surgery where I'll be given an ileostomy and they're hopeful with removing everything they will get everything in one go.

I'm trying to raise money because I'm a single mom and this surgery will have me out of commission for at least 6 weeks and I've been warned that because of my other health concerns I might not bounce back fully for 12 weeks but it means going at least a month without working and possibly longer. My job has been amazing and has assured me that my position is safe while I take time off, but I've only been there a few months and recently found out that I don't qualify for financial assistance during the time that I'm out.

I'm asking for help so I can take care of my bills and take care of my daughter while I recover. Any money raised will go towards bills and towards the cost of the new medical supplies I'll need that aren't completely covered by my insurance. I know things are hard all around right now, but I appreciate any assistance provided.
