rdmoc loves Blue Agave
We stand with our city and our community. There is no space for marginalization of anyone here, regardless of race or creed. Our hearts mourn with and for those effected by senseless murders and racism.
We also stand along with local businesses vandalized by opportunists last night. It is our responsibility to support and stand with our community. Small local businesses have already taken such a hit due to quarantine. Including Blue Agave on Kinzie being broken into at the beginning of Chicago's quarantine.
Our BELOVED friends at Blue Agave K-Station was utterly sacked last night. We saw the external damage with our eyes. But this is the reply from the owner when we texted them, this morning, to share in the sadness.
“Thank you happened at 4am. I’m on the plane now heading to Chicago. I’m so broken. We just can’t get a break. They destroyed EVERYTHING. plates, glassware, all our POS systems, kitchen equipment, doors, stole the handheld POS devices, stole the iPads, shattered Tequila, stole tequila, destroyed the desktop computer... you name it-It’s done. My heart hurts so much for the police that feel so tired and out numbered and couldn’t do anything. Thank God my staff was not there and no one was hurt.”
Please help us help our friends or donate to the ACLU; to help those that for some terrible reason STILL have to fight for their civil liberties:
