Hello, my name is Shirly and I am asking for help on behalf of my dad. Two weeks ago he entered a hospital in Cuenca, Ecuador with trouble breathing, he had elevated CO2 levels and so they put him on a ventilator to help bring the levels down, he only has one functioning lung and he developed pneumonia. Now he is having heart arrhythmia as well, and all of this is exasperated because they just notified us that the tumor he has on his Bladder is Cancer, we are all so blind sided as our father kept how sick he was from us just to not burden us. The doctors are saying its matter of hours to days until he passes. My family and I are scrambling to figure out funeral arrangements for him, and doing it from another country is a lot more difficult then it would be if he were here. We are jewish and want him to have a proper jewish burial, the jewish community in Ecuador is very small, and there is very limited plots. We are really hoping for as much help as we can get as this cost is not accounted for, and my father never planned for his own death. Please help us give him a dignified burial in a country that is not his homeland but his second home. Thank you so much.
