Julienne’s interview in re Stanley KubrickMy name is Ryan Hemming, and I met Julienne Davis through Facebook. To my surprise, we became real-life friends. And what struck me most was that no matter how long we didn’t talk, it always felt as if no time had passed. When I spoke with her on the phone, it was as though I’d known her my entire life.

Julienne is unapologetically authentic — and that’s rare to come across. So when I saw her recent post about her health struggles, I picked up the phone, called her, and offered to help with this campaign. This is the first fundraiser I’ve ever organized, but I knew in my heart that she needed it — and that she deserved it.

This is Julienne Davis — actress, model, singer, and a woman whose light has touched people across the world. From her role in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut to her international modeling career, Julienne has spent her life bringing art and beauty into the lives of others.

But behind the spotlight, Julienne has always been more than an artist. She is an advocate. At her home, during fashion shoots, she’s spoken with countless young models and actors — warning them about predators who hide in the industry, and teaching them how to navigate their dreams while protecting their integrity and their safety. She knows firsthand that jailing one Harvey Weinstein doesn’t end the danger — there are still too many who prey on the vulnerable.

Her passion for helping others doesn’t end with the arts. Julienne has long dreamed of creating a podcast to empower people — to bridge the divide between traditional medicine and holistic care, and to help patients learn how to advocate for themselves in a world where the system often fails them.

Today, Julienne needs us. Since July 2023, she has been fighting ductal carcinoma breast cancer, undergoing cryoablation and a multitude of alternative therapies — none of which are covered by insurance. Recently, she was struck with viral pneumonia, tachycardia, and atrial fibrillation, leading to four emergency room visits and two hospital stays. The toll on her health has been immense. The toll on her finances — devastating.

She and her husband, Jay Strongman, are doing their best. But no one should have to fight for their life while also worrying about keeping a roof overhead and paying medical bills.

That’s why we’ve launched this campaign — with a goal of $30,000 — to help cover her hospital bills, ongoing treatments, and living expenses while she recovers.

Every donation, every share, every prayer brings Julienne closer to healing and gives her the strength to continue the work she feels called to do: protecting, guiding, and inspiring others.

Julienne has given so much of herself to the world. Now, together, we can give back.

Ryan Hemming - I believe in helping people whenever I can, carrying forward the values my family taught me about “Life Lines” — the support we offer so others don’t get swallowed up in an unmerciful world. I live by the belief that the energy we carry shapes the lives we touch. Money is only a tool. Having too much of it can fool us into thinking it defines our worth, but i believe true happiness should never be dictated by what sits in a bank account. My hope is simple: to be a steady light for others, reminding them they’re never alone — and to encourage kindness in a world where those who wish ruin on others ultimately fall to ruin themselves.

Today’s Update

Yesterday, I had my second echocardiogram ($395) to see if all the tachycardia and afib episodes had caused lasting damage to my heart. The tech couldn’t give me the official results—that will come at my cardiologist appointment ($175)—but he smiled and said,
“I think you’ll be very pleased with the result.”

✨ For the first time in weeks, I felt a wave of hope that maybe I haven’t caused permanent damage.

I’m still bracing myself for the final hospital bill. The preliminary one—before my second hospital stay—was already $22,000. It’s overwhelming, to say the least.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. You truly have no idea how much it means to me. Your kindness is not only helping me face these medical bills—it’s giving me the strength and courage to keep moving forward. I’m so deeply grateful.

With all my love and gratitude,
Julienne
