Kylie's Adaptive Car

This GoFund me page was created to help pay for an electric car and adaptive switch for my special needs two year-old niece, Kylie .  Kylie has a rare genetic syndrome- partial deletion of chromosome 19- which features  developmental delays and various other physical symptoms. There is no cure for this disorder and it is managed with different therapies and special care.  Recently,  we found out about a program run by the University of Delaware called Go Baby Go! It provides mobility to kids who have trouble moving on their own by modifying off the shelf electric cars with adaptive switches. The total cost of the car is around $800 (car, switch, shipping, and tax). We think the best-reasonably priced car for her is a one sold by Moderno Kids. It was chosen because it comes with a remote control (so adult can assist with steering, if needed), a soft seat, and a 5-point adjustable harness for safety. The Power Wheels cars don't have any of these features.
