Approximately 4 years ago we learned that my husband's, John kidneys were shutting down due diabetes complications. Since then he has gone down hill. He's been in and out of hospitals everywhere. And I mean everywhere. He has been on a ventilator, he has been to the point of death, but from the grace of God, he has been able to fight back several times. It got to the point of having to do dialysis. Which he has been doing 3 times a week for about 2 years now. He has been on the kidney and pancreas list for a couple of years now. But not actively. Those of you who know him and our family knows what we have all been through this far. For those of u who do not, if u look at him you can tell he is completely mal nourished. Not because we don't feed him, not because he doesn't try to eat. The reason being, he has severe chronic diarrhea. As soon as he eats about 10 minutes later it is already coming right back out. We have searched for answers for so long, and still have found none. Nobody has been able to fix it. So as a result, he is getting nothing from the food he is putting in his body. So he is very fragile. Basically he is starving even though he is eating. Between that and dialysis and infections he has been in hospitals most of the time. To weak to do even the littlest things, like just sitting up. And when he did set up his blood pressure would bottom out causing him to black out. Through all of this his body has been put through hell. His muscles have lost all form and strength. He is just skin and bones in its actual raw form. Je weighs 85 pounds. A man 37 years old. So therefore he is not in any way shape or form to be put through surgery. So they took him off of the active kidney list. Until he is healthier. Which would be OK if he could just get someone that knows anything about his diarrhea problem. To help slow it down or something, just so he could gain some weight. So if u know someone that could maybe help with that, please don't hesitate to let us know. Everytime we get him into therapy, his insurance stops paying and they have to send him home. For a while he was getting around in a wheelchair. But now is completely bed bound. He cant even pull himself up. I had to take FMLA from work. Which is fine. I would love to stay here and take care of him full time if I could. The only problem is I dont get paid while on FMLA. He is on ssi. But not much. It takes both of us to keep the bills paid. Now I'm not asking for much. Just enough to survive. We also have a daughter whom is 8 years old. Anything at all would be greatly appreciated. Even just a prayer.
