Ecuador Earthquake Recovery- Manta
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angelica Flores I’m not usually the type to reach out and ask for help; however, after this horrible 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the coastline of Ecuador this past Saturday and left over 3,500 injured and 500+ dead, has left me no other options. Unfortunately, the number keeps increasing and thousands are injured. The country is currently in state of emergency. People have lost family members and friends, homes have been destroyed, people are sleeping in the middle of the street, food is running out and water its not safe to drink. The vast majority of people who are affected are those who struggle to bring food to their families every day, so help me make their lives easier by brining food to them in times of desperate need. Any donations received will be used to purchase supplies in Ecuador, i will be traveling myself to manta bringing baby food, medecine dipears and all the essentials that i could bring in my two bags. Once i get there i will be getting intouch with my uncle who will help me get water, blankets , food which will then be distributed to the people including my family who were left homeless. As the news keeps on showing how bad the situation is I can truly tell you that the situation is worst than it seems. Manta, which was one of the most devastated cities is completely destroyed. Having majority of my family living there and seeing what a nightmare they are living brings me to tears. Not only have they lost their houses but they have also lost the little things they had to survive such as little businesses that helped them get by. i will make sure to help not only my loved ones but anyone that i can help with the donations i receive. Any donations will help and will be truely appreciated.
