Hello friends, I am writing to admit defeat and to ask for help for a new ride.

My 1999 Toyota Tacoma is toast, after being stolen and completely picked apart I am now without a car. I was hoping having my truck insured would help me out but alas, my insurance company informed me that they don’t cover theft. In our household, we unfortunately require two vehicles. Alfie's job asks him to travel to Sacramento and all around the bay, and I work late hours and need a safe way to get home that doesn’t rack up in Uber fees. We can get by with sharing one vehicle but having two dogs and living in an area that isn’t close to Bart will make it difficult over time.

This has been such an awful experience and I hate that I feel like I even need to ask for assistance, but after paying off my dental procedures from last year I was in no way prepared to pay for another car and I’m not even looking for anything nice, just something reliable that can keep the dogs happy and get me to work.

If you ever had a chance to see my truck you know how proud I was to own such a relic and I’m pretty gutted I wasn’t able to see that car off to someone else who would take care of it or run it down into the ground myself. I was starting the process of fixing it up so that I could eventually sell it and pay for parts of my future wedding with Alfie. Totally bummed I have lost that opportunity as well.

Anyway, if you’ve read this far I super appreciate you. I’ve received a lot of kind words since this all started last Friday (5/17) and if that’s all you have to give I’ll take that just as well. Anything helps, and I love you all!
