The Lord has truly blessed Cathy and I over the last 25 years. We have three beautiful children and a wonderful life together.
In October 2015, I was diagnosed with rectal cancer. At the time of my diagnosis I did not have medical insurance. Being physically fit and active my doctors felt I would respond very well to my treatment. The cancer was detected early and the initial scan showed the cancer had not spread.
In eary December my Chemo and Radiation treatments began, 25 straight Chemo and Radiation treatments concluding on January 19. Over the next couple months as my body healed I started to prepare for Surgery on March 24th. I had another PET scan, it revealed that my tumor was completely irraticated. On March 24th I had my surgery to remove the dead and scared tissue from my rectum. The surgery went very very well but i was in the hospital for 9 days. I am still in a lot of pain but pray that my body will heal and I will start to feel better soon.
I will start my second round of Chemo the second week of May. We are praying it will be the last and I will have a full recovery
Ironwood Cancer Research Center has been working with us through this process we are trying to make payments towards my treatments. Currently $16,000 in bills are due and another $10,000 for my second round of chemo.
I have done my best to continue to work through this entire ordeal, but as you can imagine it has not been easy. We are hoping and praying that kind, generous people have been touched by our story and are willing to help.
God Bless!
