RD Carlen Children's Fund

Ronald Dean Carlen III, "RD"passed away suddenly in his sleep due to low sugar levels and congestive heart failure, on Saturday, March 5, 2016. If you had the pleasure of knowing RD you knew that he was the kindest and most generous person you would meet. He would give a complete stranger the shirt off his back even it were the only piece of clothing he had left. He was determined to provide for his family in anyway possible. When he couldn't work due to his health issues he would drive around the country side picking up cans on his JohnDeere Lawn mower to collect to get money to help support his family. He would find odd jobs anyone needed done just so he could make a dollar. There isn't anything he wouldn't do to try to get his wife and kids what they needed. Today I'm asking if our family, friends, and community could come together to help support this family during an extremely difficult time with raising money for his two children. They do not have any kind of life insurance benefits or any help outside of what we can contribute. These kids need our help to get them through this tragedy. They will need clothes, they will have education expenses, as well as possible therapy or counseling. We are setting each of them up a savings account for future expenses and college funding. The money we raise will be split between the two of them and put into their savings account.
