Fund a STEAM Lab for Redwood City schools!

The Story:
Redwood City is a hub for technology and innovation, now home to over 150 technology companies.  But that growth hasn't reached the local public schools.

Redwood City School District has been facing declining enrollment for the last 5 years, leading to declining funding and resulting this year in closing 4 schools.

As It Stands Today:
When school returns to session for the 2019-20 school year, there will be less schools, less teachers, new classmates and longer commutes.  Closing the schools brings more negative attention to the issue of declining enrollment, which only exacerbates the problem.

What Can We Do:
It is up to us, the community of Redwood City: city-zens, companies, parents, friends, family, advocates, entrepreneurs to bring positive momentum to the school district.  It is up to us to bring growth and innovation to our kids.

Where Your Money Goes:
To start, we are campaigning to raise $12,000 so we can distribute $1,000 to each of the remaining Redwood City Schools for them to put towards building a STEAM Lab, Makerspace, or other STEAM initiatives.
Your donation will go directly to the schools, THANK YOU!

Community Best is a local RWC 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

UPDATE: We already distributed 4 checks to schools through contributions from local startups!!!
