Matt's recovery
Donation protected
Matt's big heart is always full of laughter, jokes and joy. You will find Matt travelling in his homemade camper van to visit friends and family. You will find him on the courts cheering on St Clair college Saints volleyball, basketball, football, etc. He is their number 1 fan. Matt is the first one to visit family, cheer for nieces when they walked and make them smile, take his nephews on outings to the mall, make practical jokes and his famous "I already have ny own seat" in church comments.
Matt is hurting now. Matt was admitted to the ER on Monday night. He had his first surgery by 3am to remove a very fast spreading strep A infection and sepsis from a pressure sore. Those that know Matt know he had one many years ago and was on bed reat for 3 years. He is in for a much longer road to recovery this time. It will be many plastic surgeries to fix the amount of dead tissue they had to remove from the infection. Lots of hospital time, lots of missing out. We hope to help Matt by making sure he is comfortable and surrounded by those he loves.
Thank you for your support, encouraging words and most importantly prayers.
We love a God that we know is in all things. Matt believes with his whole heart that Christ is the center of his life, here on earth and in heaven. God gave Matt the gift of laughter, this gift will pray fully be shared again soon.
