#Support for Brandon Fork Union Military Academy
I am writing on behalf of my son Brandon Bell will be graduating High School, Brandon did well academically with a GPA of a 3.2 despite the impact of the COVID pandemic. He was a member of the Quince Orchard football team that won the Maryland AAAA state championship. He is eager to continue with his academic and athletic endeavors by attending college. Brandon has a great opportunity to make his dream come true with the acceptance to Fork Union Military Academy in their Post Graduate program. I feel that he needs another year of advanced high school education due to the inadequate in-person learning that was implemented during the COVID shutdown. He needs more preparation to become ready for college and we believe he can get this at Fork Union. Brandon is a hard working determined young man who knows that education is essential to achieve the goals he has set for himself. He did receive a partial scholarship to attend Fork Union that I greatly appreciate. I am currently unable to financially afford the remaining tuition, in the amount of $20,000, at Fork Union due to being a single parent after Brandon's father death when he was two years old. His younger brother Christian is a special needs child as a result of a liver transplant that requires a significant amount of care. I am requesting your kind consideration from you or your organization to provide some financial assistance to Brandon and myself with helping him to achieve an education. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any additional information, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely, Brandy Bell
