My name's Alex,
and as I’m sure many of you are aware, the Israeli state's continued genocide and unlawful occupation of the Palestinian people's territory has been plain for the world to see and left many of us feeling hopeless, wondering how or what we can do to help the Palestinian people.
We’ve all seen images of hospitals being flattened, ambulances being bombed, and medics and journalists being targeted.
Despite this, the workers and volunteers of the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) provide emergency medical services, humanitarian aid, and disaster relief across the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem.
In late October 2025, I will be riding my bike 520 kilometers from the Central Tablelands town of Armidale to my home in Brunswick Heads. I will be taking all of my gear with me and camping along the way. If all goes to plan, this will take me 6 days and I will have climbed 6400m in elevation.
I have been passionate about bringing awareness to the worsening situation in Palestine for some years now, and now that things are getting much worse i decided i would do something to try and raise some money for a good cause i strongly believe in.
My goal is to raise $4000 and I would be over the moon to raise more than this.
As GoFundMe doesn't allow international bank donations, the funds will be directed to a separate bank account in my name, and I will donate them directly to the PRCS when fundraising is complete.
