Pinning Ceremony is an exciting time for nursing students as it signifies the transition from student to RN and validates the countless hours and sleepless nights we all have dedicated to getting to this point.  Pinning ceremonies are typically funded through student activities and fundraisers, which take place over our four semesters of coursework. Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions and statewide lockdowns, our class was unable to fundraise. We are so grateful to have been given the opportunity to continue our nursing education, despite the pandemic, and proud that in a short time we will become valuable assets to our healthcare system and community.

This GoFundMe will ensure that we are able to have the small pieces of tradition despite the inability to have a traditional ceremony. The funds will go to paying for our Nurse Lamps which signify the light the nurse provides to those who are suffering, our pins which are priceless mementos that will always remind us of this incredible milestone we have achieved, and class photos, nursing caps, and ties, and other important pieces in our nursing pinning ceremony.
