On the evening Friday, August 19, our friend Ann had a hemorrhagic stroke near the left side of her brain stem. She has been receiving excellent care in the hospital and is getting stronger every day. Her team is working on a transfer to an inpatient rehabilitation center where she can continue improving while learning how to navigate the next stages of her recovery.

Annie lives alone. Her house, while wonderful, will need some updates to make it safe for her to come home. We will mainly use volunteer labor but need additional funds to purchase supplies. We would also like to pay off some of Annie's existing debts to allow her to focus on the next healing steps.

Her tenacity and humor are undiminished!
