My Husband Kevin's Cancer Drive
Donation protected
I am beyond saddened to report that my beloved husband Kevin has been diagnosed with a high grade cancer last week. We found out late Thursday night and were shocked and heartbroken. His cancer is aggressive and we have to act quickly, as he has been misdiagnosed multiple times since May.
As devastated as we intially were, we are gearing up for the fight of our lives. We will be seeking the best care for his particular disease. The strategy is to get an evaluation and a treatment plan at John Hopkins Center in Baltimore, then head to Arizona's Mayo Clinic in Phoenix where we can be near family for more support and care.
As uncomfortable as I am asking for help, I realize that I cannot do this alone at this point. Our medical expenses have already drained us since May and now we are facing even bigger financial challenges. But Kevin's life is invaluable to me, so I will do what I need to do. In addition to being an incredible husband, he is a wonderful uncle to our nieces, an inspiring voice professor and an extraordinarily talented world-class operatic baritone with a list of impressive credentials. I cannot allow his loss and will fight until the end.
We are asking for prayers that his cancer hasn't spread to his bones. We are working on getting him a bone scan this week.
Please know that in no way your help is expected. We humbly bow our heads in awe and appreciation of our friends and community who had already shown an amazing display of support and love which we do not take for granted.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
