                          Fight for Survival

I hope that this finds you in good spirit & health. My name is Brandy Causey- Lee,  I am the daughter of Tracy Causey- Bryant. My Mother is currently battling cancer for the third time & I am writing this hoping that you hear my cry.  The type of Breast Cancer that my Mother is fighting is very aggressive, it's called Triple Negative Breast Cancer & it's Genetic. This BRCAII, Breast Cancer Gene has wiped out over 31 women & men in my family within the last decade. In 2012, my Mother lost her Mother (My Grandmother) to Breast Cancer; she fought cancer on three different occasions within a 10-year period. In the Spring of 2014, my Mother was diagnosed with Cancer for the 1st time with it in her right breast. She had the tumor removed, as well as a bilateral mastectomy and oopherectomy , removing both of her breast & ovaries. Her Oncologist then advised her that Chemo would be needed to be sure that any cancer cells left behind would be killed. My mother agreed to do Chemotherapy. After a year of being Cancer free, Tracy received a call recently  from her Oncologist stating that the cancer has returned & this time it was in her Lymph Nodes. They removed her Lymph Nodes, and a week later when they completed her follow up CAT scan they found that the cancer had resurfaced in the right breast region underneath her collarbone.  She is currently doing chemo yet again & we believe that there is hope outside of doing chemo and radiation. This belief and hope of something being done outside of Chemotherapy and radiation is why I need YOUR help and from the COMMUNITY!!!

My Mother has been an educator for 18 years and a member of Delta Sigma Theta for 9 + years. I've watched my Mother give selflessly for as long as I can remember. But watching her fight for her life hasn't been easy because no one knows what cancer or chemo really looks like unless you've been through it or have someone close to you that is enduring it.  There are days that my Mother doesn't have the strength to get out of bed because of the chemo but yet she doesn't miss a day of work or a delta meeting/ function. That's her will to not only live but to continue fighting to serve her purpose here on God's Green Earth. My Mother's character, integrity and morals speak volumes. This is why she more than deserves a second/third chance at life, not to mention that she has a 2 yr old son (My brother Brayden Bryant).  I am asking that you not only donate for the cause/ cure but I'm asking that you share/ forward this link to every Delta, Educator, Church member etc.. in every city and every state.  My hopes are that we can come together and raise enough money for my Mother's trip to Tijuana, Mexico. There is an alternative/holistic center (Hope 4 Cancer) that focuses on cell regeneration for a more effective and healthier treatment/ cure. Holistic Medicine is a form of healing that considers the whole person, body, mind, spirit, and emotions in the quest for optimal health and wellness. This treatment is not cheap, it can cost as much as $50,000. Each and every dollar gets us closer to a better quality of treatment, so whether you donate $5 or $10,000  I am grateful.
