Unfortunately, after 3 years in remission, the bastard cancer is back. For those who don't know, I had rare type of ovarian cancer called Granulosa Cell Tumor in 2012. I was 32 and had been previously misdiagnosed with ovarian cysts before ending up in the ER with a rupturing tumor. Two surgeries later I was cancer free and under regular monitoring by a gynecologic oncologist.

A few weeks ago I had surgery because I had been having some issues and the tumor markers (specific to GCT's) were increasing on my monitoring labwork. They found several tumors on my remaining ovary, uterus, and colon. I'm having another surgery in a couple of weeks to remove the remaining tumors, including a full abdominal hysterectomy. Then 3 months of aggressive chemo and another surgery. It's a long and difficult road but I'm ready to kick this asshole to the curb, hopefully for the last time. I'm a fighter and I have the support of amazing people. I got this! FU cancer!
