Ashley Irmen is a recently graduated Registered Nurse at Central Peninsula Hospital and a native of Soldotna, Alaska. She has overcome many challenges in her life and is an intelligent, compassionate and caring professional who has just begun her career.
As a child Ashley was successfully treated for Osteogenic Sarcoma (bone cancer) that necessitated surgical removal of her leg, unfortunately the treatment itself left her with lifelong cardiac problems. This week Ashley's heart rate suddenly accelerated causing her to lose consciousness while driving her car and she left the roadway crashing into some trees. Ashley was not seriously injured, but her vehicle was a total loss and she will remain unable to drive until her physicians are able to clear her medically.
In addition, Ashley is facing a total loss of income for an undetermined period of time and is rapidly accumulating out of pocket costs for medical treatment. Your contribution will help this courageous young woman overcome this setback and continue her life and career.
