RC Inventor Andy Clancy Needs Help For Laser Cutter Repairs

I'm Andy Clancy. All my life I have been a model airplane flyer, builder, designer and experimenter and promoter. In the 1990's, I founded an RC airplane kit company called Clancy Aviation. My best-known design is called The Lazy Bee. Besides the kits manufactured by my own company, I've designed several RC model airplanes that have been mass produced in the RC hobby and toy markets. Eight years ago I invested in an excellent Universal laser cutter. Currently I manufacture my kits from my home (with some help from my teenage kids)and sell some of my most popular designs at my site AndyClancyDesigns.com My planes are fun to fly, and I've been told that my instructions and blueprints make my kits a pleasure to build. Although the hobby market is obviously not what it once was, there are still people who love to build and fly. I've still been able to help support my family through selling my kits, and I'm proud to say that they are as high-quality a kit as you can find. I carefully cut each kit to order, choosing the best wood, watching the grain, and so on. The laser cut kits I produce are crafted to a high standard, and I believe they are even nicer than the kits I used to sell in the 90's. I (perhaps immodestly) offer that my ability to draft and design has also improved in the last 5 years, and I'm currently working on two exciting new designs for next year. Trouble is, our Universal laser cutter needs its tube recharged. The machine still does a great job, but only works for about 5 minutes at a time, and then it has to cool off for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Sometimes longer. This has crippled our kit production, which is now suddenly excruciatingly slow. It takes so long to make a kit that I am unable to make the "ready-to-ship" orders that I had been selling on Ebay, and I am struggling to do the test runs of the new design prototypes. If the tube is not recharged, it will stop working, and I won't be able to produce ANYTHING. Recharging the tube will cost exactly $3016.30 including tax. The charge should last at least 5 or 6 years (guess I've been lucky to get 8 years from the first charge). I hate to ask for help, but our family has had some large expenses this year. I would love to be able to continue creating these kits. If you can help, we would be so grateful.
