Have you ever wondered how if feels to NOT be mobile? Have you ever not been able to walk? Hi, my name is William (John) and I am trying to raise the money for a new prosthetic leg and brace. Rather than insurance picking up the tab because I’m disabled and this is the only way I can walk, they said it falls under Durable Medical Equipment and my insurance doesn’t cover the full amount. Since I’m on disability and have very limited funds, it wouldn’t be until next year I could save the money for a new leg. Not to mention, I was placed in a brace by another Prosthesis Doctor and it caused a big hole in my good foot. I was then told “better get the fixed”, with no remorse or sympathy. I am once again left to the wolves, while a Doctor doesn’t take responsibility. I have now been told there is an infection that I am needing to get additional testing and MRI’s and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it hasn’t spread to the bone. This is on my left nub and my right foot, the CT’s and X-Rays show abnormalities that are quite concerning. Because of the Doctors lack of responsibility, I lost my left leg due to an infection in the bone.

Either way, my goal is to raise the money for a prosthetic leg and brace from a different agency. All together, for the brace, leg, and GoFundMe fees, it’s $4800. This isn’t including the $1700 I’ve put down on the prosthetic so we could get the process started.
