Dear Family & Friends
Karsen is Melanie and Oliver's youngest daughter. She is 6 years old. She was born with Dandy Walker Syndrome, which is a rare malady of the brain. Basically, a portion of her brain did not develop. This of course, affects everything. She is a beautiful little girl that is physically growing but is just as she was on the day she was born. She suffers from multiple seizures each day and must eat through a feeding tube. 
Karsen has outgrown her wheelchair and wonderful news is a new one is coming! Up until now, they place her into a car seat, fold her wheelchair and put her in it when they get out. This is rapidly getting out of hand because Karsen weighs almost half of what her mother does!
The family van will need to be customized with a lift to accomodate the new wheelchair. This lift will allow them to transport Karsen in her chair and will relieve the strain of having to transfer her. The donations will go towards the cost of the van conversion.
