Landyn’s Fight

Hii everyone! Landyn’s Auntie, Megan, here (Jeff’s younger sister). As many of you know, about a month ago we got the devastating news that Landyn was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma on his left arm. As of now the doctors have diagnosed it as a BCOR Soft Tissue Sarcoma. BCOR Sarcoma’s are one of the rarest forms of cancer and make up less than 1% of children diagnosed with cancer every year.

As of 7/10/2020 Landyn began his long journey of chemo. The plan as of now is, he will complete 12 weeks of chemo, followed by surgery to remove his tumor. The goal is to shrink the tumor as much as possible before surgery, to eliminate any unnecessary nerve/tendon/ligament damage. Like everything else in life this sweet boy has taken his first few days like a champ. We do know that he has a long road ahead but with the support of the most amazing family and friends, we know we will get through it, stronger than ever!

Jeff and Danielle are both very fortunate to still have their jobs and great medical coverage taking most of the cost burden off their shoulders. However, with the constant travel and certain medical needs for Landyn, they do have quite a few extra monthly costs.

There have been so many people that have reached out asking how they are able to help, I figured I might as well have a place for people who want to. All money raised will go towards medical/travel costs they will have for Landyn in the coming months/years.

I will also be using this platform to post weekly updates on Landyn’s journey and of course lots of pictures of the best smile that everyone loves! Jeff, Danielle and the rest of the Badger/Hals clan love and appreciate you all more than you’ll ever know!
