On 4/7/15 Gabe Peterson, a 6 year old boy of Galesburg, Illinois was diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms' Tumor. Wilms' tumor, or nephroblastoma is cancer of the kidneys that is most common with children. There are only approximately 500 cases diagnosed annually in the Unites States. Gabe is currently hopsitalized in Peoria with a CT scan scheduled today. Once that is complete it will be decided by the advisors of the hospital at which location the surgery to remove his kidney and any other organs affected by the tumor will be.  Although right now he is in Peoria he may also be transfered to St. Judes or Mayo Clinic for care. At this point this is the extent of information but updates will be posted regularly as they are delivered to me. The funds raised will help the family with travel expenses, medical expenses, care for his little brother & sister, or any other way that they need during this hard time
