Hello.

On August 14 2026 my contract role ended abruptly and after depleting my savings my bird and I are now facing eviction since I can’t cover Sept rent along with mounting bills and no relief in sight; and Dave (my parrot) is currently experiencing what can best be described as a neurological issue thought to be an ear infection, but in order to find out what’s wrong he’ll have to undergo tests that have been estimated to cost around $3K. He was on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory recently but is still showing signs that something else is wrong with him and the sooner I get him looked at, the better the chances are at him feeling better.

I don’t own a vehicle otherwise I’d be working as a rideshare driver so I can only work remotely (doing data entry or accounts payable for those of you reading this who may be hiring/know someone who’s hiring), but any help you can give is greatly appreciated, I truly thank you so very much for listening and helping (if you’re able). I’m currently awaiting determination from both SNAP and Texas Workforce Commission regarding my unemployment, as well as a myriad of employers/staffing firms I’ve applied to.

Dave is 23 years old and my only pet companion, he originally belonged to my parents who’ve both passed on. When I moved to Houston I brought both him & one of their remaining cats along with me, the cats passed in 2022 and it’s been just me and Dave since then. Dave represents resilience in us both because we’ve been through a lot & will continue to persevere so I will always do whatever’s necessary to help him, I only hope one day I can again afford to get him a new friend to have around the house.
