Hi friends, thank you for taking a few minutes out of your day to read a bit about who is near and dear to my heart. First, my name is Mary Rose, most call me Rosie. I am one of the lucky ones to know and be touched by the life of Brandon. He is the husband to one of my longest and best friends Janneke. Many of you who saw the photo’s and are reading this know Janni, she and we can all agree our lives are better knowing her. As she is one of the most incredible individuals you will meet. For those who haven’t had the gift of meeting her or Brandon, here’s a bit of how I know them and who they are. Janni and I have known each other 22 years and counting. We have been on many adventures together, stood by each other’s sides at our weddings, rejoiced in the births of our kids, witnessed our faith’s be challenged and been their to encourage one another towards Christ. We have celebrated each other’s good times, times of blessing and great joy and we have held one another in the heartbreaking times. Janneke is a sister to my heart. She is one of the most caring, loving and kind souls you will ever have the blessing to know. She takes lemon’s and turns them instantly to lemonade, she brightens a room simply by walking into it, and she loves to laugh. Her hubby is nothing short of her. I first meet Brandon nearly 19 years ago when he and Janni first met. They have been married now for 14 years, and have three incredible sons, Weston, Emmitt and Knox. I have come to know Brandon over the years and he is a man whose faith runs deep. He is a gifted artist, incredible dad and compassionate and giving friend. He loves to create murals, tattoo’s, art, anything that will bring another’s heart to smile. He is a proud father of their boys and he seeks to encourage them and support them in their passions.
Currently and most recently, Janneke and Brandon have received some of life’s most unexpected and difficult news one can be told. Brandon has been diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. He will be receiving treatments through the specialist’s at Moffitt in Tampa, FL, in addition, to their oncologist whom will be seeing him in their home city of Merritt Island, FL. Additional treatments will be given weekly by the hospital to aid in the health of his right lung. The specifics of duration and magnitude of his treatment is still being discussed and decided upon. However, the likelihood that his treatment will be weeks, into months and perhaps longer is probable. During the treatment time, Brandon will be unable to work to allow his body the best possible outcome of healing. While Brandon and Janneke are holding to their faith and trust in Christ, knowing He has final say, this is still one of the most difficult if not the most difficult time in their lives.
Hence, my ask is two-fold for our friends. First, will you come alongside them, all of us, in prayer? Praying for God’s healing hands to bring Brandon’s complete healing. Second, would you be willing to aid in helping relieve some of their financial needs, and donate? Anything and I mean anything is helpful, from $5, $25, $50 or $100. Whatever you feel led to donate is huge. It will go towards relieving some of the medical costs, and loss of income. Our goal is 5,000 and I believe we can meet that! Again, any donation is huge and helpful. We can’t thank you enough, and you have our deepest gratitude for coming alongside Brandon, Janneke and their boys, as Brandon fights the hardest fight of his life. May God bless you and Keep you, thank you friends!!
